Memories of incredible sensations, following the path
My world shifted and changed in but a moment
Taking me along with it into a world more of you
I am amazed by it all, taken by the complexities of
The intelligent, analytical, loving you
Tenderness and sweetness that I had not imagined
Could be within you
Life has conspired to make this world
More of my own making than it has been in years
Timing our entrance into each other perfectly
With the exit of negative influences in my life
You seem to read my mind, knowing my thoughts
Following the lines upon which I tread
I sense your moods, your feelings
Not quite in perfection, but with relative accuracy
Learning each other, learning the mannerisms
The little quirks that make us each so unique
Learning how to interpret behaviors
Looks, reactions, words
Our nervousness making things awkward
When we're comfortable it flows so easily
My hand touching yours, so close
Your hands running through my hair
Staying up all night, making love
No sleep before going to work
Calling you at 2pm, only to say
That it's not fair that you got to sleep
My phone ringing at 1:30am
Hearing your excited voice
Telling me your latest adventures
Hanging up so you can go back to them
Feeling the energy in you
