Millions of stars shining brightly against
the darkness that has invaded the sky
The moon gave enough light for me to
remember the night.
The way it lit up your skin
the last time we made love
I saw you -- so happy in this life.
So happy with the lies that I
could not buy into.
Somedays I wish I'd relented. I wonder at
the worth of being by your side.
But I know I could not live
the lies no matter how hard I tried
I look up at the stars and wonder if you
are looking at the same constellations.
